Kingscote Barn Wedding Photography - Jason + Caroline
It was early summer for my last visit to Kingscote but this time although it was sunny, it was absolutely freezing with a very chilly wind. The weather has implications for getting guests outside when its cold so we knew we would have a challenge!
We started with the bridal prep and captured some moments of Caroline getting ready as well as her opening her gift from Jason. We then headed over the the Barn where Jason’s gift of a golf caddy and clubs had been specially positioned awaiting his arrival; another great moment to capture!
As the guests started to arrive, the venue began to fill and I took the opportunity to fly the drone for some aerial photos and video. They were kept entertained by the guitarist Pat McIntyre before the ceremony got underway and this was followed by the drinks reception. We then managed to persuade the couple to come outside for some photos and despite the cold, the guests followed! It meant working our way fairly swiftly through the 10 shot group list but with some help from other family we managed to complete the list in very good time and included a photo of all the guests.
We took a short break whilst the guests sat down for the wedding breakfast and then filmed and photographed the speeches that followed. The early winter sunset made for some fantastic evening couple photos on top of the hill on the way into the venue before we headed back to the venue for the Sparkler photos which are great with the darker evenings this time of year.
We all headed inside for the first dance (and to warm up!) which was provided by Dizzyfeet and left a packed dance floor just as the evening freshly cooked pizza’s were being served to the hungry guests.
