Bath Racecourse Wedding Photography - Josh + Lauren

Another first for us this year was visiting Bath Racecourse for a wedding. The venue is laid out over three floors with plenty of space and some excellent views over the racecourse! We started the day with a visit to see Lauren getting ready with plenty of family present to help her prepare for the day ahead. We headed over to the racecourse and whilst it was quiet and before any guests arrived, we set about getting some photos of the ceremony room and checked out the outdoor open area ready for some group photos. Once the guests began to arrive they gathered in the ground floor bar for the pre-wedding drinks.

Lauren arrived in style with a couple of lovely weddings cars before heading off to the ceremony where the guests eagerly awaited her arrival. After the ceremony and the informal/formal photos, we headed to the top floor open top area for the drinks reception. This is always a great time for informal pictures and we moved around as much as possible to try to capture the couple meeting their friends and families. Having setup a group shot, we followed up with the confetti and group photos working from the couples list. The sun came out and it was a lovely warm afternoon in the shelter of the stadium. 

Before the wedding breakfast, we took the couple for some formal photos before heading back so they could start their meal on time. The speeches followed before the evening party commenced complete with illuminated dance floor and a photo booth. The illuminated dance floor was great for us as it adds another dimension to the dancing photos!
