Ashbarton Wedding Photography - Aaron + Rachael

This was another wedding that had moved a couple of times due to covid but finally, the date arrived! We made our way down to Braunton in North Devon for the wedding at Ashbarton. This was a sprawling country house with fantastic grounds and plenty of space including an old chapel, barn, yurts and capacity for 200 guests. It even has its own indoor swimming pool!

Once we had managed to find Rachel in the huge house, we started the preparation photos before I moved on to the outside of the venue which I captured with the drone. The wedding was taking place outside so it was good to get the photos & videos early before the guests arrived.

The ceremony took place underneath an old oak tree and a large pond which meant that was plenty of space for all the guests. The excellent weather made the ceremony perfect and after the confetti photos the guests were able to enjoy the outside space. We worked out way through the group photos before finishing up with some couple photos before the wedding breakfast. After speeches, it was dark but we made our way through the field along a pathway lit with fairy lights for some night photos with the couple before heading back for the first dance and evening party.  

Relatives did an excellent job as DJ’s and brought most of their own equipment which was helped by the multi coloured illuminated dance floor.  Evening food was provided by Pizza Monkey which of course we had to test a couple times before heading home.
