Great Thythe Barn Wedding Photography - Brad + Estee

Our first visit this year back to the Old Tythe Barn at Tetbury on probably one of the hottest days of the year! The grounds were looking stunning and a quick look around for some photo locations (and some shade!) quickly identified some suitable places.  I also noticed the field adjoining the venue had some lovely long grass and the sun was due to set over that field later that evening – good photo potential!

The couple were getting ready in their respective rooms in the grounds of the Great Tythe Barn which meant it was easy for Lisa and I to split and cover the preparation whilst flitting between the barn where the ceremony room flowers and decorations were still being set in position.  A slow stream of guests continued to arrive and as the minutes ticked down to the ceremony the room began to fill.

After the ceremony, followed up with a confetti photo, the guests gathered on the lawn which made for an excellent location for some informal photos, especially as they were all in one place! We took the couple into the gardens for some pre-wedding breakfast photos which also gave them a short break to have a catch-up.

Unknown to the guests, a couple of singing waiters had arrived and they told us how their act would start. Lisa and I positioned ourselves to catch the moment their act stated and as predicted, the room went crazy! The guests were 100% involved and were standing on chairs, joining in on the conga and and loving the show! (As did we!)

After the speeches, we all went outside for the warm summer evening and used the time to photograph some of the evening guests before setting up for the first dance. This was the first time dancing had been allowed for over a year and the dance floor was full after the couple performed their first dance. We followed up with some evening couple photos and decided to take them to the field I found earlier for the sunset photo; only to discover the grass had been cut and baled during the day! It just proves you can’t plan for everything!
