Elmhay Wedding Photography - Josh + Gabbie

Josh & Gabbie’s wedding took place at Elmhay within the Orchardleigh Estate.  We arrived at the Castle where the bridal party was getting ready to capture some of the preparation, before heading off to the nearby house where Josh and the boys were doing the same. We then had to dash back to the Castle for the arrival of the horse & cart before heading back to Elmhay for the guest arrivals!

During the ceremony, Gabbie’s wedding ring was dropped as it was about to be handed over to Josh. It bounced briefly before becoming wedged in a gap between the tongue and groove flooring, resulting in a few gasps from the gathered guests. Fortunately I was able to gently prize it out using a small penknife before handing it back to continue photographing the ceremony. Always prepared!

Surprise Singing Waiters certainly got the party going before we settled down for the speeches and the evening.

How did you meet?
We met at an underage rave at motion.

Where was the proposal?
The proposal was at Josh’s mum’s 50th birthday party

What were you most looking forward to on the day?
Seeing each other for the first time and spending the day with our family and friends.

Why did you chose that venue?
We chose the venue because it was everything, we envisioned. We loved the grounds of the venue as how it was private to our wedding.

What were the favourite parts of the day?
We had so many parts of the day that were our favourite, but the surprise singers as they did take us by surprise and everyone loved them.

Any advice for future couples planning their wedding day?
Enjoy the build up and the day as much as they can because it goes very quick.
