Wick Farm Wedding Photography - Johnny + Kelsey
We set off early to visit Johnny at home expecting to meet him and the Best Men - they hadn't arrived so we set about helping him with his jacket, watch and cufflinks which also gave us an excellent opportunity for some photos! Once he was ready, we headed the short distance to see Kelsey at her parents address. This was a hive of activity with the Kelseys parents, siblings and the bridesmaids all getting ready in one place - not to mention the couple's own children! It was one busy, but calm house.
As we left, we passed the vintage wedding car heading to pick her up and we traveled the short distance to St Anne's Church at Longwell Green. This Church only gets a handful of weddings a year and the locals had turned out to watch the arriving guests. Having attended the rehearsal the evening before, we already knew where we were both going to stand for the ceremony. Johnny was busy greeting the steady stream of arriving guests which kept us busy with natural photos.
After the Ceremony, there was few family photos outside the front of the Church, some with the couple and their children, a very small confetti throw and then we were off to Wick Farm.
Wick Farm, located just outside of Bath, is a beautiful venue, perfect for a summer wedding. It sits within 37 acres of idyllic Somerset countryside and the 17th-century farm combines rustic charm with modern elegance, a beautiful outdoor space for your special day.
As we arrived, most of the guests were waiting for the couple who had arranged to meet their dog walker at the venue for some photos with their German Shepherd. This was then followed with a confetti throw between two lines of guests which started the afternoon reception.
After some informal photos of the guests, pre-planned groups shots and some couple photos, guests gathered inside for the wedding breakfast. Singing Waiters proved to be a great success with guests joining in, dancing around the packed barn! Speeches followed before everyone gathered outside whilst the room was turned around for the evening. This gave us another opportunity for some natural photos, the couple with their children and a few of the couple in a field adjoining the property with the rapidly approaching sunset.
The evening was finished off with the traditional cake and first dance then the evening party allowing us to get plenty of dance floor action!
