Walton Castle Wedding Photography - Lee + Lizzie

Walton Castle is a venue you book for a few days for your wedding. It’s a great way to catch up with friends and family both before and after the wedding. Plenty of rooms, heated pool and the most fantastic views for 360 degrees.

It’s not often you arrive at wedding to see the groom having his haircut outside! I suppose thats the benefit of having a best man who runs his own barber shop!

Lizzie and the girls were getting ready in the large bridal suite which was a busy place with lost of hairspray and make up being applied. Once Lee’s last minute haircut had finished, we got some photos of the guys before the guests started to arrive.

The intimate ceremony took place with all the guests huddled together inside but as it ended the sun came out! The couple walked down the steps and through the Courtyard as the confetti was thrown and drinks were served after on the cobbled terrace.

The marquee was already set up and laid out for the wedding breakfast but I did manage a few sneaky photos before the guests got to sit down. We took the couple around the grounds for the ‘photo walk’ as planned and up into the bridal suite for some shots with the drone. They wanted video of the waving as the drone flew up and away which I managed to do despite the wind!

Whilst the guests ate, I managed a few more aerial photos and at the request of the chef (in exchange for some free food 😉 took some photographs of the dishes being prepared.

The couple decided to perform a first dance outside which was a fantastic idea with the lovely evening sunshine. Lisa took the pictures from amongst the guests whereas I literally ran to the top floor and out onto the balcony of the bridal suite to get an aerial photo of the circle from above. The things we do as photographers!
