Eastington Park Wedding Photography - Leon + Marianne
Marianne was a former bridesmaid at one of our previous weddings. It is really lovely that we get a lot of wedding guests or bridal party come us when they want photograph for their own wedding and its always nice to see them again.
After meeting with Marianne & Leon at a coffee shop in Chipping Sodbury, the motor car theme was evident. We knew this was going to be a fantastic wedding. They both worked for a major car dealer and plans were already underway for several guests to bring some rather nice cars to the venue.
Eastington Park lends itself very well for this with the large turning area outside the front of the property and plenty of grass for parking.
The April day was sunny and warm and we headed over to Thornbury to meet Marianne who was getting ready at home with her daughters. This also gave me an opportunity to photograph the dress, shoes, jewellery and a very nice hand-written card from Leon that she had opened earlier. As we also videoing the wedding, this was an excellent opportunity to photograph and film it all in one go!
We then headed to Eastington Park, avoiding the motorway and taking the A roads. We were one of the first people to arrive so once again, some photos of the venue and aerial photos and video from the drone.
Slowly, a fleet of what can only be described as supercars began to arrive. Aston Martin, Porsche, McLaren, Ferrari amongst others. I flew the drone as they arrived (not over them, just in case!) and obtained some unique footage and photos from the air. It just adds such a different angle to the photographs.
The ceremony was outside and it was one of the hottest April days for some time; so much so the guests were seeking shade. The beautiful outdoor ceremony was followed up by drinks on the lawn and more photo opportunities. Due to the warmth, we had plenty of opportunity for photos late into early evening which after the dancing, was followed up with a fantastic firework display finale. Definitely a wedding to remember!
We had the best day of our lives and a huge part of that was down to you both and how great you were with us and all our guests. We are so grateful and hope that you enjoyed the day too. We can’t thank you enough.
