St Tewdrics Wedding Photography - Matt + Lara
Matt & Lara had booked us a couple of years before and like the majority of others, their wedding had been delayed. They met at Bristol Airport whilst both on their way to Benidorm and once there, bumped into each again again. The rest as they say, is history!
Matt proposed to Lara whilst on a diving holiday in the Philippines, at the bottom of the ocean on a helmet driving trip – that’s our first underwater proposal in 16 years!
They were most looking forward to spending the special day with our loved ones and friends and chose St Tewdrics House “because the venue is stunning, nothing else we looked at compared. We also liked it that I could see the Severn bridge and my home town of Bristol.”
Our second visit back to the lovely St Tewdrics House in as many months didn’t disappoint. With a beautiful sunny warm day forecast and an outdoor wedding planned, we set about getting the drone up for some exterior photos and whilst the venue was quiet, photographing the interior before the big day started.
During the ceremony, it started to rain lightly but the venue were prepared and we relocated to the inside were the ceremony room was already set up (there are not many venues that have the capability to do that!).
Their favourite part of the day was the drinks reception seeing everyone enjoying the sunshine . As for tips for future couples, they advised getting married at 1pm as it gave them longer to enjoy the day with friends and family.
