Chipping Sodbury Wedding Photography - Dave + Tanya

There had been a lot of planning, changes and more planning for Dave and Tanya’s wedding over the last 18 months. Dates came and went as did the first wedding meeting (yes it was that close to the original date), then a second wedding meeting and after the pre-wedding photos, a glimmer of hope that the day would at long last go ahead!

On the morning of their wedding day, Lisa and I headed off for Dave’s house for some pre-wedding photos. With only a couple of the guys ready (as it was over 2hrs before the ceremony), we did capture some of the gifts being handed out and got a couple of shots of Dave together with his mum. We then headed over to Tanya’s mum’s house which was just 2 minutes away and crammed full of bridesmaids and makeup. After photographing some of the prep, dress, jewellery etc Tanya came down the stairs in her wedding gown to a few gasps from her gathered bridesmaids. It was the first look by her dad who saw her in her wedding dress for the first time that caused a few tears for both of them!

We set off for the Church about 30 minutes away and arrived in good time. Lisa was perched on the upper floor at the back of the church which gave her a birds eye view of the interior; great for photos and video which we were also recording. Dave and the best men/ushers soon arrived and set about greeting the arriving guests. Although the wedding was limited to 30, the small size of the Church made it feel like a larger wedding! after the ceremony and a few couple photos, we worked our way through some group photos and after a confetti throw, the couple departed to their venue, Old Sodbury Golf Club.  The room was suitably decked out for the wedding breakfast and after a quick look, the couple headed outside for some golf buggy photos.  The balcony provided plenty of outdoor space for guests and we used the area below for a group shot and some informal photos. Speeches followed the meal and afterwards, guests moved outside due to the sunshine and warmth of the day.

The separate evening party took place at the BAWA club where the guest capacity had thankfully been lifted and the wedding party could at long last take place.
