Tracy Park Wedding Photography - Darren + Sarah
When you have snow on a wedding day, its fantastic for photos provided 1) you can get to the venue and 2) it lasts! This wedding had a combination of both! Although the roads were clear, the snow car covered car park at Hardenhuish Church was admirably manned by a couple of groomsmen (sporting trainers + black tie) and who managed to literally squeeze over 30 cars into a tiny car park.
Fortunately the sloping path up to the Church had been cleared allowing guests (who had to negotiate the snow covered ice footpath outside the Church) managed to gather in the warmth of the Chapel.
Sarah arrived and was walked into the Church by her father for the ceremony to begin. Working from the back of the Church gave me an excellent view of the couple although one of their two young children regularly walking across the bottom of Sarah’s dress during the ceremony made for some excellent moments!
After the ceremony and some family photos, we headed off to Tracy Park. Despite it being completely snow covered the day before, it had all but gone but we did make use of the late winter sunshine for confetti, a large group photos and some couple photos outside - despite the freezing cold wind!
The reception gave me a chance to capture some informal guests photos before setting up an indoor ‘studio’ in the Mason Room for some group photos - it was too cold and dark for those to be taken outside.
With the meal and the speeches completed, it was the turn of local band the Blackjacks who were accompanied by Miranda playing the saxophone for a couple of sets which certainly filled the dance floor!
