Hare and Hounds Wedding Photography - Mark + Jess

Jess and Mark’s wedding took place at the Hare & Hounds at Tetbury a venue we’ve visited frequently! The day was hot and the couple had planned for an outside ceremony plus they had acoustic music from Matt the guitarist. The venue looked gorgeous and the guests were fortunate to have fans placed on their seats for the ceremony!  

After the ceremony, we managed a large group shot and then concentrated on the informal photos and their group list which saw us hunting down the shade for the photos! The speeches were excellent and included a pre-recorded video which the guests thoroughly enjoyed. The amazing magician Daren Campbell joined us for the evening and captivated the guests with his magic tricks and was followed by HotShots Entertainment for the evening party.

The couple met at work and the proposal was during lockdown, celebrating Jess turning 30 at home with family and close friends.

What were you most excited for on your wedding day? To become husband and wife!

Why did you choose that venue? We wanted somewhere that offered an outside area for the ceremony and a choice of food that suited to us and our family lifestyle. That is exactly what the Hare and Hounds hotel offered.

What were your favourite parts of the day? Constantly smiling all day long, pinching ourselves that it was really happening & happened. Jess walking with her dad down the aisle with pride. Mark seeing Jess (& Maddie for the first time ). Mark having the boys by his side and enjoying Matthew Bee’s music. Having everyone tells us and seeing for ourselves how amazing Darren Campbell (magician) was.

Any other tips for future couples? What matters the most is that you and your partner are getting married & so don’t worry about the small things you feel you have to buy or have. Do what you want and what suits your lifestyle rather than focusing on what you think you should do or have to do. It doesn’t always go to plan but don’t stress about it, it always works out in the end and the day is always perfect.
