Kingscote Barn is situated within the Cotswold Hills and is close to Tetbury. It is a venue we have frequented a lot over the years, in all weathers including snow!

The barn is a 17th century Cotswold stone barn that’s seats 130 guests and up to an additional 20 in the mezzanine area. It’s turned around after the wedding breakfast for the evening party and the small courtyard to the side can be opened for the pizza oven to be brought to life (and they are excellent!)

Surrounding the barn is an abundance of outside space. This ranges from the Linhay (which can also be used for outdoor ceremonies), the games paddock, lawns, not to mention the driveway with the gorgeous fields on either side (we give the bride and groom a lift to save you the walk!). We are also permitted to fly the drone here to get some gorgeous aerial photos of the venue from above.

WHY KINGSCOTE BARN IS PERFECT FOR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY?

The venue has several features that as photographers we find just perfect. The mezzanine area in the barn is an ideal viewpoint for a second photographer during the ceremony and also a great place for us to capture the speeches and evening party.

The lawns and adjoining fields (with some sheep!) offer some variety in the photos with only a very short walk away from your guests. The rose arch is always beautiful and illuminated at night and at the top of the driveway is an ideal vantage point to capture the setting sun. The fields either side vary throughout the year but it is always worth a few photographs with the wide expanse of sky behind you. It’s also a nice moment for you to have 5 minutes together to catchup on the day so far.

The lawn is illuminated at night so guests can spend time inside and play those lawn games late into the night! The Linhay is also illuminated and offers a quiet space away from the party if needed.

Outside ceremonies take place under a wooden pagoda but the surrounding lawns mean we can capture the moments from a distance without interrupting your guests. The bride has to walk from the rear of the building across the lawns so not only can the guests see her approaching but also a great vantage point for us.

The grounds have a private walled garden which is forever changing throughout the year but a lovely private place for some couple photos, together with the entrance archway which has featured in a few of our weddings.

The entrance driveway is ideal for a photo of you both walking and is ideal you don't fancy walking on wet grass ;). There is also the terrace at the side and the courtyard at the front which we often use for confetti photos, not to mention the tree swing opposite. There is also the opportunity for fireworks later in the evening as the venue is approved for their use and we are permitted to fly the drone if required.

It really has everything you would need for your wedding.
