Wincanton Wedding Photography – Steve & Sophie

Steve & Sophies wedding took on a gloriously sunny day in Wincanton at St Luke & St Teresa’s Church before heading off to a nearby marquee for the Reception.

The couple met some years before at a cocktail bar which was followed eventually, by a proposal on holiday in Thailand.

What were you most looking forward to about your day? Exchanging vows and having all the family together

They chose a marquee as because they “didn’t want anything to uptight and loved the idea of having a more personalised wedding”.

Sophie was most looking forward to Steve’s speech, some couple photos and the first dance whereas Steve was looking forward to seeing Sophie walk down the aisle.

The reception was held in a marquee on a private farm a couple of miles from the church. This enabled guests to camp overnight and have plenty of open space outside as well as having the drone for some large group photos and to capture to expanse of the fields around the marquee.

After the wedding, the advice they would give to future couple is:

“Have what you want on your day and don’t take on board too many opinions others may have. Try to absorb the day (it goes fast)”
