Another first for us with a visit to Old Oak Farm at Curry Rivel which was well worth it! We started the morning meeting Leanne who was staying a couple of miles from the venue getting ready with her parents and bridesmaids. It was the usual hive of activity enabling us to get the prep photos together with the dress and shoes. The Nissan Cube, the car in which Leanne was arriving at the venue was also suitably adorned – more on that later!
We headed off to Old Oak Farm arriving about an hour before the ceremony to find most of the guests already present, some of whom had made a start on the numerous outdoor games that were dotted around the venue. I took the opportunity to fly the drone in the fantastic weather to get some establishing photos and video of the venue and set up the cameras for video as we were filming and taking the photos at this wedding.
With the guests gathered, Leanne arrived in the Nissan Cube which was actually a surprise wedding gift to Darran (he loves them!). It was great to capture his reaction and comments as the car pulled up, especially when she told him she bought it over a year before and kept it a secret all that time!
After the confetti photos we worked our way through their short photo list finishing off with some couple photos shortly before the wedding breakfast. As soon as the meal was over, the guests were straight back outside as it was a warm day which made for some great candid photos. We opted for some more couple photos then waited for the last set which we took around 15 minutes before sunset. A couple of additional suppliers turned up in the evening including a very tasty Somerset Hog Roast and a Crepe stand – which were lovely! The local Somerset band ‘the-ious’ got the party going with the first dance which gave us the final opportunities for some dancing photos before we headed home.
