Church Farm, Kington Langley Wedding Photography – Harry & Katie

Another new venue for us at Church Farm, Kington Langley near Chippenham. There are very few weddings here as its a green field meadow onto which you add your own marquee; the couple live nearby so it was an easy choice for them! I had met them at the site a month beforehand so to see it on the day with the marquee in position was better than we had imagined. It was spectacular inside with an abundance of flowers and well laid out tables ready for the wedding breakfast. Fire pits were dotted around the grounds outside and the long grass gave way to walkways through the meadow surrounding the marquee.

Harry was getting ready with the best men and ushers at a small cottage on site so it gave us a great opportunity to photograph the gifts being handed out, suits being prepared and ties being tied! The hip flash gifts were suitably filled and we left to visit Katie getting ready just 2 minutes away.

After some preparation photos of the dress & veil, plus the hair & makeup being completed, we made out way to the Church (right opposite Church Farm) to set up for the service.  The arriving guests began to gather and gave us more photos opportunities before Katie arrived with her entourage.  The Church was packed to capacity and after a traditional service, the guests left for Church Farm, just a step across across the road.

After some more evening photos around the fields and some more drone flying to get some aerial photos of the site, the first dance started and followed by the Kickstarters band who got the evening going filling the dance floor immediately!  We followed up with a decent helping of food from the Alp Mac Mac & cheese van (it was very tasty!) before finishing the sparkler finale.

Whilst the saxophonist Anna Brooks played in the background the confetti and informal photos were taken before we worked our way through the short groups list. I also managed to get the drone airborne for some aerial photos and video before the guests made their way to the marquee.  We took a short break as the wedding breakfast was served before returning to set up filming and photography for the speeches.
