Frampton, Dorset Wedding Photography – Rob & Sam

Rob & Sam got in touch about a year before their wedding in Frampton, Dorset.  We travelled down to meet them and look at the Church and Village Hall a couple of month before their big day. Such a lovely area with so much potential! The Village Hall was going to be completely transformed into a fully decked out wedding venue, we planned a photo shoot down on the beach  and had a look around the Church.

On the morning of the wedding we met Sam and her family getting ready a couple of miles away. It was a busy place with the usual hustle and bustle of several bridesmaids getting ready but we did get the usual photos of the dress, shoes and jewellery and also managed to get all the girls outside with Sam’s parents for a few photos outside.

We moved onto the Church where Rob was waiting and got setup and had a quick chat with the Vicar. She would not permit us to take any photos or video inside the Church which was disappointing but we always obey the Vicar’s decision.  We did manage to get some photos of the couple leaving which was perfect and followed up by some confetti as they left the Church.

The Village Hall had been completely transformed, it was unbelievable! The sunny weather meant the guests were outside sitting on hay bales and that afforded us some excellent photos. We took the couple on a riverside ‘photo walk’ which we had pre-planned and it was beautiful. So peaceful and quiet! We headed back for the wedding breakfast and speeches which were followed by more photos outside with the guests enjoying the warm summer evening.

A live band setup for the evening which was great fun with a wide range of music from across the years; they were very popular. It also enabled us to lurk in the bar for some relaxed guest photos before we took the couple on another night time walk through some illuminated arches that had been put up earlier in the day.

We stayed locally overnight for some planned photos the next day on the beach and in a nearby property with spectacular gardens. We then moved onto the beach photos were great fun and Sam didn’t mind getting her dress a little wet.  It was our first time taking wedding photos on a beach, but hopefully not the last!

It really goes to show that a wedding is really what you make of it!
